Competition 13mm Single Prong Belt

This is my first 13mm belt. I've used the 10mm economy single prong in the past. The belt itself is very sturdy and breaks in well, no complaints there, but the prong makes it a pain to get on and off. Other prongs are curved at the end so they can slide out of the hole. This one is completely straight. With the 10mm, I never noticed the difference. The extra 3mm in thickness almost makes it impossible to get off. I don't get the belt very tight, could probably get 2 holes tighter, and it has taken up to 3 of my teammates to get it off of me while I hold onto the rack. It's enough of a pain to dock it 2 stars. If I ever get another 13mm through LiftingLarge, it will be a lever.

This belt is fabulous! It is my first powerlifting belt and it immediately improved my squat and deadlift by 20 kilos. It broke in easily, is very supportive and I find it pretty easy to get on and off. I'm really happy with this purchase and will definitely be back!

I bought this belting after reading an article on www.powerliftingtowin.com This was my first competition style belt (13mm thick, single prong etc) after using a crappy Valeo for 2 years. I was worried it would take a lot of time to break in, but that was just not the case. Right off the bat, the belt was comfortable to wear, and i really felt it gave me a lot more support when squatting. I am able to really push my abdomen into the belt. There is another review on here that comments on how difficult the belt is to get off, but i do not find that to be true. You do have to get comfortable with it, but if you pull down and the same time you are trying to release the prong, it comes off with ease. Don't make the mistake i did and order based on your pant size, actually measure where you will wear the belt. The one i ordered originally was too small, but my workout partner ended up buying it because he liked it so much, and i ordered the correct size for myself. Best belt for the money in my opinion.
