Developed by powerlifting legend Donnie Thompson and Spud Inc., the Casual Bowtie is a simple accessory for everyday life, helping to counteract the slouched posture that often develops when working at a computer, driving, or using a cell phone. Made from a softer material than the Thompson Formal Bowtie, this design is optimized for wearing over long periods of time as you go about your day. The webbing harness is light and comfortable and doesn’t encumber movement. It works by subtly encouraging sustained upright posture, easing tension on the muscles behind the shoulders and also applying light compression to the bicep tendons.

By wearing the Casual Bowtie on a regular basis, the user can create a sense of muscle memory, as the brain will start instructing better posture long after the bowtie is removed. This can have a huge impact on reducing the problems of shoulder pain and tight pecs, and limiting the risk of more serious injuries down the road.

This is a great training device. It forces your shoulders and upper back into the proper position for bench press and helps maintain alignment through the complete range of motion. My issue has been keeping my scapula retracted and my latissimus tight. The bowtie is a great help for me and has improved my form greatly. My bench feels better, looks better and I have upped my PR as well.

From the first day using it. I could tell a difference in how much quicker my warm ups went and how smooth they felt. Normally Bench days starts off a little rough a slight pain from being tight. With this is greatly speed up the warm up time. Put it on at the gym for 10min before and during a couple of warm up sets and Shoulder Disconnects. I was good to go.
